Simon Pollard Senior Partner Simon has over twenty years experience in catering, most recently as Avenance’s Divisional Managing Director for their successful Education Division looking after over 100 sites. Prior to this position Simon was Sales Director for Sodexho’s Independent School Division. Simon started his career as an Apprentice Chef working in one of the most prestigious Relais Chateau hotels, Hostellerie de la Poste, in the Burgundy region of France. Following a number of senior chef positions in hotels back in the UK, Simon’s career then moved into the contractor arena with Gardner Merchant where, after a number of years in catering management positions, he became an Area Manager and later a General Manager of a 100 bedroom prestigious 4* conference centre. After sixteen years with Sodexho, Simon moved to Avenance as Divisional Managing Director of the newly formed Education division which Simon doubled in size in less than two years. Chris Stanley Senior Partner Chris comes to ISCC from Elior UK where he was employed as the company Group Executive Chef, leading a team of development chefs with the responsibility for the development and maintenance of culinary standards within the entire £250M turnover Elior UK group; which includes Avenance. On leaving Westminster College, Chris started his culinary career at the Ritz Casino before taking a position at the luxury Chateau Tilque in Normandy. On return to the UK, Chris remained in the top end restaurant sector and in 1993 joined the Compass Group as a Director’s Chef at their head quarters in Queens Wharf. Chris’s career quickly flourished to launching and managing Compass’s most prestigious Roux Fine Dining restaurant whilst also working in La Gavroche. Chris set up his own successful coffee bar business in 1998 with a string of high street outlets in and around Surrey turning over in excess of £1million. Chris returned to his passion of cooking as Executive Chef with Compass at both the Sir John Cass Business School in London and latterly Sevenoaks School in Kent. In 2005 Chris won the prestigious Compass Group UK ‘Senior Chef of the Year’ award. |
